A common production process is as follows:

Sometimes flake ingredients, powders such as acetyl alcohol and stearic acid are first mixed dry and then evenly dispersed in the oil phase.
The aqueous phase contains emulsifiers and stabilizers such as Veegum or Carbopol prepared separately, then the two phases are mixed together to form an emulsion. Increasing the temperature between 45-80% depending on the raw materials contributes to this process.
UV filters and absorbers are available in dry powder or water or oil based mixtures. Depending on the raw materials and the requirements of the formulation, these "micronized oxides" are dispersed in the appropriate phase or added to the product after the emulsion is formed. The mixing process continues until the product is completely homogeneous.

Production Process

Solving thickening and suspending agents is one of the most difficult mixing processes. In this operation, incomplete dissolution or mass formation can have negative effects on SPF. When powdered raw materials enter the tank, materials that are not completely dissolved may stick to the tank wall.

The emulsion must be completely stabilized by adding a minimum amount of emulsifiers and stabilizers, as some of these additives reduce SPF. Conventional mixing methods can not perform this operation easily, even when the water and oil phases are heated. UV absorbers are available as micronized powders or prefabricated oil and water based solutions. Conventional mixers and mixers can not break these materials into the smallest possible particles. To produce a homogeneous product, using conventional mixers requires a long time and additional equipment.

Step 2:

Solid particles are cut into smaller particles by cutting between the rotor and the stator, before leaving the stator, they are completely dispersed in the liquid and dissolved in the solution. At the same time, new material is drawn into the head of the device.

Step 3:
The entry and exit of materials from it forms a rotational pattern of mixing in the main tank. By adding a "dispersed" phase, the high shear mixing in the stator rotor area dramatically reduces the particle size to the extent that it ensures the rapid formation of a uniform and stable emulsion.

Step 4:
Micronized oxides are added at this stage. The mixing process with the sunscreen mixer homogenizer quickly breaks down the particles and makes them as fine as possible. The micronized oxides disperse rapidly in the emulsion within minutes.
