Tanks are used to store and carry fluids or gases. The shape and type of tanks are determined according to their application. The most common tanks are cylindrical with two caps that are installed standing or horizontally. In terms of design, tanks are divided into two types of atmospheric tanks and pressure tanks.
Reservoirs that are under atmospheric pressure or under a pressure load are called atmospheric and above this amount of pressure vessels. The main material of tanks in the pharmaceutical and health industries, if the type of material inside the tanks is corrosive or reactive, is usually 316L or 304 stainless steel. Also, according to the type of application, equipment such as flanges, valves, pressure and heat measuring equipment, etc. are installed on the tanks.
